A choice of field trips not far from Haifa:
On February 6-7, A Celebration of Nature in the Lower Galilee; a Tu b'Shvat
weekend and Seder Anemones, cyclamens and a variety of other winter wildflowers cover
the forested hills of Beit Keshet.We will hike the forest trails among ancient pine and oak
trees, in view of the lower Galilee and Jezreel Valley landscapes. On Friday evening we will
have a Tu b'Shvat "Seder" with dried fruits and accompanied with songs and verses from our
Biblical sources. The next morning we will visit a church on the peak of Mt. Tabor and hike
along the trail surrounding the hilltop. In the Ein Dor Museum we will participate in
experiential activities during which we will familiarize ourselves with tools from the ancient

On February 21,The Villages Around the Wadi, A Series of Hikes Along Wadi Ara; for
good walkers; CODE: 72102943 Amidst Wadi Ara's hilly landscapes are found unique villages
blending Jewish and Arabic cultures, alongside breathtaking views and interesting overlooks.
We will walk through the villages of Um-el-Kataf and Barta'a, as well as the artists' village in
Katzir, a unique Jewish settlement. We will enjoy the pastoral views in the Um Reihan forest
and visit a peasant village and artists' homes. Buses.
On February 21, The Little Grove and the Forty Oaks, CODE: 92102919, From the
'grove of the forty' in the Carmel Mountains we will see a beautiful view towards the open
spaces of Acco, the Galilee and Haifa Bay. We will walk down a trail that dips into a
Mediterranean grove of oaks, become familiar with some of the animals found in the reserve,

A Challenging Family Hike; CODE: 72102967 Within the eastern part of the Lower Galilee
are hidden many beautiful and challenging trails. We will descend from Ramat Sirin along
Nahal Hagal until the Camel hilltop and the "Old Bridge" site along the Jordan River. We
will enjoy the colorful winter flowers and pick edible plants with Shimi Sharf, a plants expert.

year long, the blues of the lupines and the black of the basalt canyons create a celebration of
