The Haifa English Theatre's production of Eric Chappell's SUMMER END opens in January at
the Beit Hagefen Auditorium.
What is going on at Summer End? Residents of the rest home aren't resting very well
as rumors fly and people die.
Chappell, writer of more than 25 popular dramas and comedies, has created a not-too-typical
English retirement home, and peopled it with characters you will recognize and come to care
about.
Director John Dicks has assembled a cast headed by HET veterans Ruth Willner (Emily Baines)
and Valerie Herbert (May Brewer) who are unwilling roommates and something of an odd
couple. Also in the cast are Chantelle Brader (Sally), Zelda Dvoretzky (in ), and Matt Neal
(Alan Baines).
Performances are at the Beit Hagefen Auditorium, 33 Zionism, Haifa on
